Career Path
Did my Hotel Management from IHM Bhubaneshwar. Two years at The Oberoi School of Hotel Mangement and worked with Oberoi hotels for 18 years. Started with Oberio Grand ,Kolkata as Senior Kitchen Executive to Assistant Pastry Chef at The Oberoi ,New Delhi. Then Pastry Chef at The Oberoi Bangalore and then moved back to The Oberoi New delhi as Executive pastry chef. Joined The Leela Palaces Hotels and Resorts as Corporate Pastry Chef based out of Bangalore and its been 10 years.
Inspiration
My Dad, he use to cook on his off days and i got inspired by his cooking and learned a lot from him and of course my mother too was an excellent cook.Its in the blood.
Achievement
I am the brand Ambassador for the Belgium chocolate company Callebaut and was judged the Pastry Chef of the Year Award 2018 by BBC good food.
Feel about the YCO
Young Chef Olympiad is a great platform for the young chefs to showcase their talents among 50 odd contestants all over the world. Its one of the largest Chef competition in the world at college level. YCO not only allows the contestant to put their skills and creativity on the plate but also boost their moral and confidence to win something big.
Feel about coming as a judgeto the YCO
Its a great honour . I have been the judge for past three years and I must say that the level of the competition is increasing each year with contestants from various part of the world taking the bar to huge competitive level.

Its high time we shift our focus to save our people and the planet which is an urgent call for action by all countries developed and developing to come together and end poverty and other deprivations.

In my opinion this is an fantastic platform to bring the awareness among the youngster who in the future of this planet. I think YCO is largest gathering of the worlds youngest chefs under one IIHM umbrella.
As a chef I have responsibility of Zero wastage while planning preparing and dishing out food. And also i would support zero hunger where food should not go waste and feed as much to erase the hunger.
Yes country like India is in the front foot with food soldiers all over trying to feed the poor and distributing food to the needy.. At work place we take pride of carrying flag of zero wastage.
IIHM is actively supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goal of Zero Hunger
Its a great drive and showing very positive results already.
